Description
Unwanted 72 is an emergency contraceptive pill designed to prevent pregnancy after unprotected intercourse or contraceptive failure. Each pill contains Levonorgestrel, a synthetic hormone that works by inhibiting ovulation, preventing fertilization of an egg, or altering the uterine lining to discourage implantation of a fertilized egg. It is most effective when taken as soon as possible after intercourse, ideally within 72 hours, although it may still provide some level of protection up to 120 hours (5 days) after unprotected sex. Unwanted 72 is not intended for regular contraceptive use and should be reserved for emergency situations. It does not protect against sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and should not be used as a substitute for condoms or other barrier methods of contraception. It’s important to consult a healthcare provider for guidance on the proper use of Unwanted 72 and to discuss other contraceptive options for ongoing protection against unintended pregnancy.
